Mobilization against communists' persecution in France and Italy
We receive and release this information about an initiative promoted by the Association of Proletarian Solidarity, by our Party Federation in Campania, by the Struggling Worker Union of Naples and Worker Power, a worker's organization in the FIAT factories of Pomigliano d'Arco (Naples).

No to communists' persecution! No to the persecution against the new Italian Communist Party!
On 21st and 22nd November at the X Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Paris Tribunal, it will be held the trial of second instance against Giuseppe Maj e Giuseppe Czeppel, members of (n)PCI, and Angelo d'Arcangeli, the comrade of the delegation of the (n)PCI in Paris.
On latest April, the trial of first instance sentenced comrades Maj and Czeppel to five years of prison and perpetual exclusion from France, and the comrade D'Arcangeli to one year of prison and one of surveillance. These exemplary sentences were related to the crimes of association of wrongdoers and making of false documents. The conclusion of the trail of first instance, though condemnations were heavy, has been a victory for the comrades of the (n)PCI under trial and for the communist and democratic movement that was solidly behind them. The mobilization developed starting from the first arrests and house searching of the 23rd June in France and Italy, has had the aim to prevent the three communist militants in France from being extradited in Italy, and from having their freedom of expression and political association wiped out. The extradition of the three militants condemned would have allowed the new Italian Torquemada, the Public Prosecutor of Bologna Paolo Giovagn oli, to keep on persecuting not only the three communist militants, but also some tens of communist militants in Italy belonging to the area of the CARC Party. After the eighth judiciary proceeding, by now under examination for deciding a possible indictment, the Attorney's office of Bologna stubbornly started an illegal ninth judiciary proceeding, still against the same persons and still for the same counts of indictment (subversive association with the purpose of terrorism). With the trail of second instance that will be held in Paris it is necessary to relaunch a mobilization of solidarity with the comrades of (n)PCI. As for the trial of first instance, we propose to launch a series of initiatives that point out public opinion's attention to the condemnation of persecution by Italian and French States against communists in general and against the comrades of (n)PCI in particular. We have to denounce the repressive activity of bourgeois State that wants to prevent the comm unists and in general the working class and the proletariat from practising independently the democratic freedoms of association and political expression. We propose the mobilization for denouncing the illegal activity of an organism promoted in 2004 by French and Italian government, called "French-Italian group against heavy threats" constituted specifically against the (n)PCI. This illegal organism is composed by agents of repression (political police, carabineers, secret services, magistrates, etc) of the two countries hand in glove, and it is direct expression of Prodi and Sarkozy's executive powers. As a matter of fact, this organism violates the constitution of both countries that states the independence of magistracy. It is transformed in a mere repressive instrument of the government with the purpose of carrying out political persecutions.
